i got the gate open, and i pressed the secret button in walls of one of the areas blocked by gates, but the door doesn't seem to open, i seem to just keep summoning more legionaries

Open the three gates, lure the Legionaires into the three rooms. There you go, monster zoo, all three skellies in nice little cages.
