VERSION 1.4 RELEASED ON NEXUS

A few modifications and a bug fixed that prevents to save in three places in some conditions.

For whose who don't want to restart from the beginning, the version 1.3 stays playable: if you encounter a save crash, please post here and I give you a solution to bypass this issue from the previous save.

Hi Duncan, I hope you still visit the forum. Great mod but quite difficult. The worst problems I guess are the lack of clues and no idea about where to go or what to do first and so on. I cannot figure out how to turn off the blue force fields in Underwaste. Also have not found any chest in Bres' tomb. Is there something special to put inside the alcove in order to reveal the chest ? The signboard doesn't help a lot. Thanks in advance.

Underwaste is complicated, but you have some clues here and there you can find:
  • A note in the wizard room in the South East of UW. He says:
    SpoilerShow
I know what to do of the gems, but could not free them from their power cages.
I guess the book kept up there is the key that I miss, but it is only shifting the problem.
I don't know that this book is, much less how to reach it...
A chest hidden in Aerion map (plan to access it in Wreck Cape) contains a scroll beginning by:
SpoilerShow
To access the Book of Runes,

Bres is the heptarch of Death; is tomb is in the Octaedron, dedicated to the four elements and the four substances. The wall text says: "...One for the Eight..." . If you put the rune "death" in the alcove, you will find the chest.
Clues are present, but sometimes far from the goal you want to reach: the world is open, so you can go everywhere, collect the clues and follow the paths. The most important secrets are well protected, you need to find the "key" (whatever it is) and finding the keys is a real quest (finding the raven figurines by example). Somme places keeps essential informations (Under the Cape, Arcanum, Perethan library, etc...)

Post here if you are stuck (the walkthrough on Nexus can help too)

Thanks a lot. Thousands of doubts but at least you helped me with the tomb. Please be reasonable: one for
the eight could be anything. I put one of eveything in the alcove but the runes. I already have the book of runes. But what to do with it ? This situation is I wanted to say as "lack of clues". You are correct: there are tons of clues. However many are not clear enough. How to awake the sleeping statue ? Anyway I am having fun and hope you keep on modding. However when modding put yorself in gamers' place. Who prepares the riddles and solutions know exactly what and how to do. We poor gamers don't and most of times give up after hours in blind attempts. Other frustating obstacles are spreading essential items (so you must spend your time traveling among the maps) and the hated timed pits, doors and teleporters. Instead of having fun gamers suffer. Kind of a masochistic hobby. Ok, I will go ahead until get stuck again. Have you considered to upload a walkthrough or put some playthrough in Youtube ? I do appreciate your dedication and work. Looking forward to your next mode but please think about simpler puzzles, more linear maps and clues clear enough for dumbs (like me, LOL). Again congratulations and thank you.

First, thanks a lot for the feedback: I plan to make a new version, adding some clues and so on, but I need the player's feedback to do what can make the difference.
"Please be reasonable: one for the eight could be anything.": right, but the major clue is simply that is the Death temple.
The "drowning god" says: "...Some one came to awake me
I says not before the runes are repowered
and then my daughters might join me"
So you have to:
SpoilerShow
Put the book on the central pedestal to free the "daughters" (power gems) of the force fields, put each gem on one of the four pedestals under the dome.
. That's it.
"Have you considered to upload a walkthrough ": yes, it's done. You can download it here:
http://www.nexusmods.com/legendofgrimro ... ile?id=285. Video is another sport, I wish someone more skilled in that will do it.
Linearity or not? it's a choice, LG2 original story is pretty linear, I wanted to "open" the game... It's can be disturbing in LG, but others games do that and it's nice... but perhaps more difficult to play.

Hi Chris,
You have to feed the four alcoves in the room immediately South of the water marked tile with the carved runes you have found: two spirit and two balance (the two balance are in a chest near by). You have to do the same thing in the alcoves room on the East of the marked tile, with two air and two balance runes. So, you can't enter the fourth teleporter before you have performed the twelve tests.
When you do so, you will hear a "secret" sound and the teleporter is active. That's all.
Enjoy!

Thank you Duncan, I have tried various combinations of those, but obviously not the right one. I will be back with my next problem
