The door is at (30,16), and the id is "tomb_door_serpent_2". When you have the spirit essence, you have to put it on the beacon above. After that, the invisible wall which prevents you to use the serpent staff is destroyed and only then any serpent staff works. As there is a little delay before the invisible wall vanishes, perhaps it's the explanation. No bug, but perhaps a bad timing in the script

Re: FINISTERRAE version 1
I just finish it. I got out of the "four jewels" error by completing the block and platform puzzles in one go and then placing the 4 mystic gems. After that save works.
I enjoyed a lot your mod. I was even sort of obsessed with it. Some puzzles are way too cryptic and there is no enough info but maybe that made it even more interesting.
I appreciate a lot the work and inventivity you put into the mod. THANK YOU

I am glad you appreciate this mod... and yes, some more clues will be added in a future version.zulu89 wrote:I just finish it. I got out of the "four jewels" error by completing the block and platform puzzles in one go and then placing the 4 mystic gems. After that save works.

Concerning the issues, I have made some tests:
-- in Athanor, it's a bug due to so called "global" variables... they are global only inside the same script, and I have forgotten that, so the levers couldn't work a second time. I have fixed this in using xxx.lever:disable() and xxx.lever:enable() instead, but I don't know how to bypass this by a console command to rescue adventurers in the same situation

--- in "Four jewels", I can't be able to reproduce the issue, all the saves works even when I made unsuccessful attempts, reinitialization or whatever. But it's a very complicated part, heavily scripted, involving three independents levels (BSG, FJ and Loki's cross) with mirrored rooms (the puzzle rooms), so it's not surprising that I can't solve this without knowing your true path step by step.
Whatever, thanks for your feedback!

VERSION 1.3 RELEASED
Fix a bug which prevented the forge of "Athanor of Niallain " to be used twice. The reset of lights and power levers isn't any longer confusing.

Re: FINISTERRAE version 1
It's very important to understand that almost all is linked, except some side quests, by the story of the three races and the nine essences. Download the walktrough on Nexus, I hope it can help, and keep the informations scrolls to re-read them when it's necessary.Nathaniel wrote:I would like to thank the author and developer, as well as all those who directly or indirectly participated in the development of this great addon!![]()
I passed a few different addons to the original game "LoG II". For example, I was very impressed addition "Korus island" at the time. But here ... From the first minutes, solving puzzles in a dark basement in the beginning, overcast incredible. I've played enough at the moment almost 15 hours of real time, but glancing recently in the "Statistics", I found that I found only a single secret and went 1/3 of all locations. It was incredibly surprised by this!.. I must admit, I have a complex addon. I have laid all the cards are now more than 50 marks "?" and descriptions, but I can't move forward in the game in solving all these mysteries!.. Although I did not go through the first year of computer games genre "quest" and I like them.
I liked the new location, especially winter landscapes. Incredibly beautiful!![]()
However, something I completely lost... Very often come across some quest shelves in the walls with descriptions but I do not know what to put there. I just do not bring these things, I guess. Although I already gather all the found items in one place.SpoilerShow
Another thing I have noticed time and again that when installing objects into the openings of these statues here (screenshot below) I have these items disappear and take them back I can not.
This is as it should be or is it a bug?..
The carved runes are often the keys of some mysteries, use the instructions given in the scroll on the power of runes in "Under the Cape"
The beacons keep the essences you give to them, but the essences don't disappears, they travel... somewhere

PS: The assets of the winter landscapes are the beautiful work of Skuggasveinn, most of the urban assets too. It was a real pleasure to use them!

Re: FINISTERRAE version 1
Thank you for your prompt reply! And thanks for the advice about the solutions of this game. But I have so far refrained from reading solutions. I don't want to spoil my impressions of the game. At the moment I want to enjoy myself and look for the secrets of the passage, so far no problems... That's really what all the same I would like to clarify... For example, it has been incredibly nice to find a buried treasure in forest and Ancient Claymore. This is one of my favorite swords! The most interesting thing that went round and round the place where it was buried and only a few game days realized that there is something there!.. )))Duncan1246 wrote: It's very important to understand that almost all is linked, except some side quests...
But I have question... For example, I found several meteorites, skulls or minerals. Do I have to carry them all with you to solve some any puzzle? Or carrying only need one? Because all several meteorites just very hard to carry...
More I see on the ground in different locations stone circles. I tried to dig there, but the game says to me that there can't dig. As I understand it - in these circles need something to post? Not yet solved the mystery of these circles. Particularly interested in the ones that are in locations such as "crystal mines" from the original game.

And yet... I had an interesting problem...
At the very beginning of the game in the first dungeon I got red and blue gems, but did not understood what to do with them. Also, I noticed that there was one on the map unexplored space. Now I know that it can be opened putting the red and blue gems on respective pedestals. I played on a other PC from the beginning on the new profile, and I was able to open the secret.
The problem is that I went through quite a lot. Visited many locations, my company reached the eighth level. I'm kill a lot of enemies and got a lot of experience. Also, I found a few power gems and destroyed all the lizards near this dungeon. Then I decided to come back and still get to the secret. But no matter how many times I was not trying to put a blue and red gems in the right places, it does not offer anything.
Maybe it had to be done immediately? I do not want to be left without a first single power gem and things of this secret.
Perhaps you know a way to solve this problem? I don't want to use the console and enter to this secret room by changing the coordinates...

Have you find that this sword is a key? Be careful with the objects you find, some of them are usable but also plays as keys of others mysteries... not far from this claymore, you have another one, and together they allow you to open a secret place (some texts explains this in game)
Nathaniel wrote:But I have question... For example, I found several meteorites, skulls or minerals. Do I have to carry them all with you to solve some any puzzle? Or carrying only need one? Because all several meteorites just very hard to carry...

Yes, meteorites are useful in two different places, iron ore in more places, others metals in one. You can let them in a place easy to reach, and go back to take them when they are needed. It will be more easy if you find one of the three modes of fast travel. The only things you needs to carry all along (and to recover after use) are the carved runes,

Some circles are not used, but near the beginning, in the cemetary, they marks tombs, so... For these in the Fir Bolg Sanctuary, they are used in another way. The information on this way is in three different places (a talking head on the beach of Rock Cave, scrolls in Arcanum and another place)

The time you use the gems don't matter, but the pedestal matter: if I remenber well, red on the left and blue on the right. If this don't work (but why not??) you can forget it and continue your game: powers gems are a little more than necessary. Only thing, the letter of the Watcher, but you can read it in the other game you have started and that's all

Well... I already knew! I stumbled on this one. But I do not just throw out, and pile up in one place.Duncan1246 wrote:Be careful with the objects you find, some of them are usable but also plays as keys of others mysteries... not far from this claymore, you have another one, and together they allow you to open a secret place...

Yeah, I thought of this too because found a second set of tablets with runes. Well, I'll have to throw away other unnecessary things as often as possible. In "LoG" it is practiced quite often.Duncan1246 wrote:The only things you needs to carry all along (and to recover after use) are the carved runes...
Yes, there I'm already found something interesting!Duncan1246 wrote:...near the beginning, in the cemetary, they marks tombs, so...
I have no idea why this is happening... By the way, there was still an interesting wooden box with a very good thing that I need!Duncan1246 wrote:if I remenber well, red on the left and blue on the right. Maybe you see my save game? I'm kept the game close to the entrance to the place.

Re: FINISTERRAE version 1
It's a strange thing indeed:obtaining the red gem change the value of one counter, obtaining the blue one change the value of a second counter, the two processes are in fact exactly similars... and, of course, together they allows to obtain the power gem. If it was a bug, your other game would be also bugged, but it isn't!!Nathaniel wrote: I have no idea why this is happening... So I can't figure out how your save have different values for the two counters, but it has!! Perhaps a saving issue...

Anyway, to fix this, open the console, tape: counter_1.counter:setValue(2) , enter and it's done.

Yes, it worked! Thank you very much!Duncan1246 wrote:Anyway, to fix this, open the console, tape: counter_1.counter:setValue(2) , enter and it's done...

I was so angry after a few starts the game in search of the reasons that almost didn't remove all my savegames. It's terrible feelings!

In any case I continue the game! Probably, I have to to save the game more often and make reference to savegames.
