Was looking around trying to find a mapping program, to draw the dungeon map with a program , rather than on graph paper, and I found this program called Autorealm that might be usefull to others who would like to draw their maps with a program. It includes symbols, for dungeons, and outdoor environments. The only problem is whether or not Grimrock can run in a window, or be Alt-Tabbed out of without causing problems. Its also freeware.

Re: Mapping Program
Almost certain running it in window mode doesn't cause any problem. Don't quote me on that tho- It's what I remember from the tech demo.

Re: Mapping Program
This is essentially what I suggested, except being in-game (and perhaps more simplistic).
Would be awesome to press a key to open up in-game grid paper on which you put wall segments and notes.

Re: Mapping Program
I have been playing with Autorealm a little. It actually can be minimized down to a pretty small window ( on my 1680 X 1050 rez, at least ). It comes up with a grid already on the screen, and with the snap to grid button toggled. You can actually draw a grid based dungeon pretty easily.
Might add to the enjoyment also, using the tools in the program to map out your dungeon as you go along. Thats one of the things I like best about these games, is drawing the maps.
