There is a way to play the game with just one character without the rest of the party.

Stalkingwolf: so it seems your informations are little outdated ;)

juho: hmm... "without the rest of party" - do you mean by that there is a way to play with only one hero other than "start with 4 heroes then kill 3 of them"? :D also: are there some official "experience needed for level" rules somewhere?

Hmm... taking into consideration that video reviews were probably taking on final version of the game, this "other way" sounds mysterious...

I've just found review video with long introduction to the game and with some walking around starting area (before even opening first gate) at 13:25+. I've noticed that this big starting room has four smaller niches total at both sides. At first I thought that maybe there is possibility to dismiss party member standing in them but reviewer went inside some of them and I haven't noticed any additional options to do that. So still it's interesting. :D :P

ok, then im looking forward to play the game only with one hero.
but if you take a look at the character creation in some reviews. You can not click on "Start Game", if there are not four characters in your party.

i can not wait to play the game :-) yesterday afternoon i played Dungen Master. it took only 4 hours :? i thought the game would be a bit longer and harder

Goodie, more secrets!

Hidden soloing mode! My money is riding on the option that soloing becomes possible once you beat the game! :D

Yes. But I do think that juho had something else in mind - like dismissing "not needed" party members somewhere. That could be the only possibility if you can not start game with one hero and if there is an option to not kill three of them. I've watched some videos of 1st dungeon level and I think starting area would be the most suitable for that...

On the other hand maybe Curunir is right about unlocking solo mode after winning the game? hmm... Anyway I can still select "deadly" option easily. :P

According to descriptions of skills/attributes/traits I've gathered, I think this should be good character to try solo mode:

Class: Rogue
Why not Fighter? I will probably try to evade most melee fights so weapon masteries can be useless for most of the time.
Why not Mage? Mage without Energy could become easy target (well, I do not know all spells yet, so it's still an option to try in future)

Race: Lizardman
Why not Human? Dexterity bonus on Lizardman is more important than Willpower penalty.
Why not Minotaur? Dexterity penalty.
Why not Insectoid? Vitality penalty, also I do not need Willpower bonus.

Traits:
Agile (Dexterity +2)
Skilled (+3 Skillpoints)

Skills:
Assassination: 4 (Strength +1)
Dodge: 2 (Evasion +5)

Attributes:
Strength: 11
Dexterity: 20
Vitality: 14
Willpower: 9

Health: 55
Energy: 47

Attack Power: 1
Accuracy: 10
Protection: 0
Evasion: 23
Resist Fire: 30
Resist Cold: 8
Resist Poison: 8
Resist Shock: 30

Max Load: 48kg

Dude in the Polish video won't hold still in the alcoves so I can't examine the walls.

Solo is unlocked either through beating the game once with some/any party (which I think is more likely), OR by some mega-secret room in the first level.

OR... by beating the highest difficulty :D Is that going to be a bummer or what! :D
