Thank you a lot for the answers and the walkthrough. I went through all the maps, collected and placed all the essences and I am about to enter the pyramid. But I still have some gaps:

Under Waste
- Above the armory, I did not find the key to open the door and disable the force field that has an altar

Twisted Forest
- I was teleported between the two heads below the south building. Is there anything else to do other than listen to the heads? It looks like there is a treasure chest there.

Loki’s Cross
- I don't know how to open the portcullis at (25,24) close to the Edenia Woods
- In the North there is a pool and tiles marked with rune symbols. Is any purpose of that?
- How do I open the door at (1,25)

Pyramid
How to open the door to the pyramid? I suppose that I should put something on the altar at (17,16).

In the throne room, you have a bookshelf with a scroll saying: "... So I choose my emblems: movement and direction,
to reveal as much as to hide." You have to put an object in the bookshelf, a object with movement and direction in it... The same thing occurs in Perethian library in the town of Aerion. Do you see what it can be?
Twisted Forest: the heads give you the steps to follow and it's all... But

Put two symbols of Morrigan on the altars 24,22 and 26,21; one is near by, the other is... slightly different, and you have used it, I guess, in Octaedron

it's only to remind the links between the runes and the realms; I planned to use them for some linked stats, but I give up finally :mrgreen:

this door can't be opened, it's a fake (but the other side can be reached... after you enter the pyramid.)

If the spears doors in front of the altar aren't open, you haven't finished to place the essences. On the upper stair, each statue must have his essence in hands, except the spirit one

In the middle (14,10) there are the 6 pedestals. My guess is that the scroll "To cross over like Loki does..." has the clues. But it is way too cryptic. I gathered that I should use 2 Ice Guardian Figurines, maybe a Snail Figurine and the Moonblade. But other than that cannot guess, plus how to distribute them.

Actually the problem is that you introduced a second Serpent Staff and the first one cannot open the door to the Pyramid. Just by luck I tried the second one and that did the trick

More as an FYI, after I get the first piece of armor the Power levers don't work anymore. If I leave them in the "on" position I get the message that the power is not on and if I switch them to "off" then I cannot switch any to "on". I even tried using the console to toggle or change the status or disable and enable but nothing works. My guess is that something is wrong with the script.

The four jewels
I get lot of crashes. Cannot consistently reproduce to give you more details but it looks like every time I enter one of the areas where there is a puzzle if I leave without solving it I cannot save anymore. Probably I have to give up because cannot advance.

I am curious: how can you enter Loki's cross without the object on the altar of UnderWaste?? Some console jump?Or I have forgotten a back door?

In the middle (14,10) there are the 6 pedestals: First, light the campfire. When you do so, two curtains can be opened. For the others, they can be opened only after you have already visited some parts of the destinations linked. By example, you have found the snail in Aerion, the door for Aerion is the curtain with the triangle, put the snail on the pedestal in front, that's it. For the Morrigan's doors, you know already the symbols, use them. For the doors of Candle Tower, you have to use the two ice guardians, one in front of the dogs curtain, the other on the opposite side in front of the mountain curtain (with the four drawings on it. The second pedestal in front of the mountain door can be opened if you have found an object in "two sides of the god" on the floor but you haven't, I guess, because you need to use the clue I give you above this for Under Waste...

Actually the problem is ...: I don't understand of what door you speak. Did a priest appears with the spirit essence before? Describe more what you have done.

I am surprised, perhaps you haven't followed all the instructions: the ore's alcoves must be all furnished (and with the correct ore) before using the power levers. Put all the levers to zero, then test the metals levers (I mean all except the powers ones). Watch the light: if the light become red, this chamber isn't furnished. When the four chambers linked to one power room are furnished, the power lever can be moved and the light become green. If it's not the case, effectivly the power lever can't be moved. I know it's complicated, but Niallain himself says that it's a crazy machine :D

The key of these puzzles involves all the four levels of the pyramid, I means "Both sides of the God" and "The four jewels". I am sure you haven't find the way to enter some parts of these levels, because you haven't used the floor tiles with the dogs, by example. Have you find two more essences? Have you used the illuminet necklace??
So the first thing is that perhaps I haven't tested the puzzles in your true situation, and that explains the bug
I will made some test in the evening and I will post an answer after
But perhaps you can get ride of it in this way: when you made an attempt to solve the puzzles, if you don't success, use the reinitialization lever or button before saving the game.
If this don't works and if I can't find a way to solve the issue, I will give you a way to bypass the puzzles.
Last thing, your difficulties seems to be all linked to Loki and his special ways of travel.

Some give you more facilities but can be bypassed, like Loki's Cross wich only purpose is to fast travel between places you know already. Others, like the floor tile with dogs in "Two Faces of God" is absolutely necessary to go further.

In Aerion when I faced the Trickster, I threw everything at him and when he left he also left the 8 Axes Compass behind. I know that is on the pedestal in Under Waste and it was just me wanting to do everything in the game because I did not really need it. I was using that way of travel for a long time.

The door is at (30,16), and the id is "tomb_door_serpent_2". Yes I battled the priest, he dropped the spirit essence and then I had the door to the pyramid closed. So to open I just used the serpent staff.

As I mentioned, I already make the crystal cuirass. So that was ok. But then things are not working anymore. I tried various pieces of equipment, I went to all 3 control rooms and push the levers for the elements to make sure all are green, etc. Still the power levers, every single one of them I push down and they go back up.

Yes, I found 2 essences, went through the dark forest. Actually there it crashes. So went through the dark forest, I am now in the block puzzle room and enabled all the tiles from above. If I do not walk too far in that room then all good. But if I solve the puzzle and take the mystic blue gem then the save crashes.

Hi I have just downloaded this mod but I get software failure after New Game dialogue box.

mod_assets/script?spells.lua:38: attempt to call global 'defineCondition' (a nil value) etc

Any ideas. Thanks Ian

You need to upgrade to version 2.2.4 of LoG2

Congratulations! I wasn't thinking that the trickster could be defeated here because it flies away very fast.
For the others questions, I give a go now to see what happens.
