[Suggestion] Small Buffs to make Warrior classes balanced

Post by steelsoldier »

Currently in my humble opinion, the Barbarian is the best Warrior class in the game, the Fighter and the Knight are currently suffering from this as they are less desirable due to the Barbarian being ultimately in both tanking and dealing damage.

The Barbarian can both be a better damage dealer and a tank due to the fact that it has enormous starting health(80) and the best hp per level in the game(+10), plus Strength increases the carrying capacity tremendounsly preventing from the weight of the armor becoming an issue for the barbarian, so the Knight 50% armor reduction is essentially not that good and the figher will always have a few problems equipping heavier armor due to having lower strength.

The other problem lies on the fact, that Both the Knight class and specially the Fighter class dont have traits that compensate for the fact that they have lower starting health and hp per level and at very high levels, the barbarian will always be better and better, the Evasion Bonus which isnt extraordinary if you have an amazing shield and the 1 protection per level wont help the Knight at all, and the Figher has a trait that makes him charge specials from the weapons faster and use special for less energy points isnt that big of a deal either.

So I propose the Fighter to get an accuracy bonus with melee weapons, so he at least becomes decent and more desirable and not just completely dependant upon using a special weapon and being useless half of the time if he doesnt have energy.

For the Knight I propose for it have to a trait, that once he equips all armor pieces, which includes Gloves, Boots, Legs, Chest and Helmet, he gets a trait called Fully Armored, where he gains a 10% Protection from all equipped pieces.

These Small Buffs would make the Knight and Fighter more desirable and further specialized in different fields of combat and prevent from the Barbarian from being the Ultimate Warrior Class that make the Knight and Fighter feel miserable.

that sounds good. +1 accuracy per level would certainly not be overpowering. something to hit multiple foes would be good as well. maybe give fighters a follow-through ability at a certain level? also, if you have an alchemist, energy pots shouldn't be much of an issue, so give some to your melee guys as well as your mage.
For the Knight I propose for it have to a trait, that once he equips all armor pieces, which includes Gloves, Boots, Legs, Chest and Helmet, he gets a trait called Fully Armored, where he gains a 10% Protection from all equipped pieces.
easier just to change it so the knight gets 2 points of protection per level instead of 1. Also, the fix for the shield evasion double is supposed to be in the next patch, so that will help a tiny bit.

Well written and good suggestions.

I honestly keep forgetting about the Fighter class, so would definitely like to see something distinguishing it more.

I agree that the fighter as a class is underwhelming. It's icon suggests he is a dual wielder by default but he still has to learn it like all others. Maybe granting him Dual Wielding with any(!) kind of weapons makes him a more interesting choice.
