[Wall Set] High Temple

Post by Daniv »

Just a quick and simple copy of the Temple wall set with a little tweaking done to the textures.
Contains all the same assets as the original wall set plus a couple of little extras thrown in. ;)

Before you start, you'll need a dungeon created with the editor. It can be one you've already started or a new one, just as long as you've got somewhere to copy these files to.

This zip file contains a "high_temple" folder. Open this and inside you'll find another folder named "mod_assets".

Copy the "mod_assets" folder to your dungeon's directory found in Documents/Almost Human/Legend of Grimrock/Dungeons/ >your dungeon's name< / and let it merge with the "mod_assets" folder already there.

Now open mod_assets/scripts/ and you'll find a file named "wall_sets.lua". Open this with a text editor, such as notepad, and add the following script:

import "mod_assets/scripts/high_temple_materials.lua"
import "mod_assets/scripts/high_temple_objects.lua"
import "mod_assets/scripts/high_temple_wall_set.lua"

Once you've done this, you just need to reload your dungeon in the editor and you should (hopefully!) find the new wall set and assets.

Very nice, I hope more people will offer Wallsets, that we have a lot of different options to choose from, than just the 3 original

EDIT: I didn't try yet and I don't have time because I go to travel, but if this works, I think it should be in the sticky thread for modding ressources

Organization tip:
Instead of copying the text out of the .lua files and placing them into your own files, (like object.lua) make a new .lua file and title it high_temple_wallset.lua or whatever is the title of the wallset you're trying. This will help keep it all in one place for you to reference, and will make bug finding easier.

Great advice, Neikun, sorry I didn't think of that. I've reorganized the files like you suggested and updated the zip file. :oops:

Personal preference really. I have to say, I like the wall set
With this, a user can have two different types of temples :0

Exactly what I needed for my fortress. Do I give the credit to Daniv or you prefer me to write something else?
