Simply have cheese in your inventory and talk to him.

On the receptor:
What exactly is your problem here? Destroy the barrel with ranged attacks or magic.
All you need to do is time your attacks between jumping and falling.

Is there any way to breathe underwater or nullify the danger of drowning? The main game has no underwater breath option. The time you can stay underwater increases with character level and the size of your energy pool. Once your energy starts to drop it's time to go for air .. or down energy potion...

For the elementals, I don't see how to maintain the story as it was and accept to deal with so powerful spells. Switch the spells off, perhaps? (like a silence spell) The fix is rather simple: like i said above, once the party steps out of the garden gate all remaining air elementals get destroyed....

"No" is mostly accurate. If you had just one party member, he or she would get "all" the xp. If you have four party members they can each get "all" the xp so long as they each get at least one hit in. But in the normal course of play it's likely that some will get more...
