The description of your problem shows that your computer sound is set up to something with a center speaker or subwoofer - any 2.1, 5.1 or 7.1 setup - so it naturally sends sound towards that missing speaker. To fix this open whatever sound mixer software belongs to your hardware (i.e. Realtek HD Audio-Manager for a Realtek sound chip) and make sure it's set to either "Stereo", "2 Speakers" or "Headphones". Once that is done, re-check the Windows sound mixer.

Indeed my comp was set to 7.1 though I never had or used such system. Took a while to find the setting for it, but when I did it was easy to fix ;)

I solved the pressure plate part 2 also now :)

Thx for the help ;)

This is an issue with your sound hardware setup [not the game, per se]. You are not hearing audio sent to the center speaker.

This one had me stumped a while too but carefull observation of the room got me the solution. The secret there is way easier to get!
SpoilerShow
All you need to complete the trial is located behind the locked door. You don't need anything else.
SpoilerShow
Pick up the stack of 4 rocks before the closed inner door. Again: you do not need anything else!
SpoilerShow
Place the rocks onto the pressure plates in a pattern related to archers or marksman in general.
SpoilerShow
There are hints (or landmarks) inside the room that tell where a rock has to go.
Full spoiler and solution:

Over each of the to-be-pressed pressure plates hangs a lantern. Place the rocks on them to draw a crosshair.
I finished the archers trial as far as I know - but how do I get the second door open?

Re: The Mountain

Hi Dr.Disaster,

no it's not a joke. Don't be angry. Maybe I am too stupid to understand (English is not my native language), but I tried running spirals over and over. I tried hard, believe me. Nothing happend.
Update: I'll tried the mentioned solutions again - after some further walks I solved it. But as I can read it's not only for me very tricky.
And for my excuse - the finally working starting plate wasn't the southern but the west one.

Archer's Trial - thx for the Link, now I got it. I don't know why I didn't find that text...
BTW - I managed the Core and I am now in the next map.

And it's a great mod!

THX for helping a little stupid bad English speaking boy!

This is a joke, right?
Both the Archer's Trial and the spirals are explained in great detail in this thread and the search function has no problem finding them.

Re: The Mountain

Door for Archer's Trial
I've tried hard to open this door, but nothing. Please, how can this door be opened?

Same for the spirals - I walked long time all possibilities, but nothing happened. What should happen in case of success, by the way?
None of the posts helped.

I got all elements, but I can't find the entrance to the maze's core. EDIT: Found it!

Full spoiler please - I've read all posts but failed...

THX!
