Do you have vsync turned on? If you haven't then try that.
I suspect your GPU gets too hot and the system then clocks it down to prevent overheating (therefore the fps drop), so this would be basically the same problem that some other people have when they have vsync turned off.

You could also try this. Though manually replacing dlls is sure not the best or most secure solution.

Re: Procedure entry point error message
You could try if installing this http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5555 on a 32-bit Windows Version or this http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14632 on a 64-bit Version helps. This is just a guess though. I' wouldn't count on it. But if nobody else responds you c...

Re: VSync/Triple Buffering causing lag
Sorry- but what exact specifications should I find? I'm not an expert with computers. And thanks in advance for the help btw- if it turns out my comp's not suited for Vsync, I'll just play without it. The graphics card you are using, and maybe the processor and how much memory your graphics card ha...

Re: VSync/Triple Buffering causing lag
I've tried both Vsync and Triple Buffering and it seems that whenever they're turned on, it creates a slight lag between key input and the actual action. I've tried it just to be sure, and I'm almost certain it's there. For example: VSYNC/Triple Buffering OFF: If I keep the "forward" butt...

Re: Game doesn't minimize on windows update dialog
Can you confirm that this is not caused by your GPU overheating? Try playing with vsync on and see if it suddenly reboots. No, if my GPU overheated the system wouldn't reboot and install an update while shutting down, it would be just crashing with a BSOD or another way. At least that's what I thin...

Game doesn't minimize on windows update dialog
My machine just rebooted while i was playing the game and I'm not 100 % sure but i think it was one of those timed reboots windows 7 forces on you after an update. The problem seems to be that game running in full screen mode doesn't minimize when one of those "Restart your computer to install ...

Re: Xbox controller setup/support
Even with dedicated attack buttons the game is still not designed with a controller in mind imho. The puzzles, secrets and some other things in the game world seem to require you clicking them, with the whole point of it being that you have to detect those things manually. With that in mind you quic...
