Grimrock

I went to the spot on the map Zo Kath Ra linked to....and there was nothing at all. Just a blank wall and a bare floor. I scoured the entire level and read the forums and watched YouTube videos. If the bladed gear is no where to be found after scouring the entire level multiple times, falling throug...

I watched a YT video and read this forum. I restarted the level and *scoured* the level multiple times, looking for the bladed gear. I even moved the scraps to a corner. No luck at all.

I think this has to be a bug

Where's the exit, though? Only way in that area is to jump down. I've yet to find an exit.

I've been unable to survive getting the icefall hammer. At this point, I have very little tar beads for heals, nor have I been able to get to the exit. How did anyone survive?

That final step I'm taking, that teleports me back to the beginning, is the step that get me out of the hall. No other way to get around it.

I'm playing Grimrock 1 and almost done with it. The thief has barely contributed, so am thinking of a 2 fighter/2 mage party for Grimrock 2. Does the thief have any use in Grimrock 2?

I've been using a guide to get to the far side of the Pillared Hallway. Everytime I step out of the Pillared Hallway, I get teleported back to the beginning. How do I avoid teleporting back?

I am in the hallway to the Vault of the Orb. When I step on the pressure plate, a field appears. I cannot get the portcullis to open, even when I drop a dagger on the pressure plate. I've seen videos where this is all that's needed to open the portcullis.

What am I missing? Thanks!

I'm on level 6 with no food, nor can I find food anywhere. I haven't killed the ogre due to lack of food. I'm not fighting well due to starvation.

Is there a way or even a mod, to get food? Otherwise I'm stuck.

Does the ogre regenerate? That'd help in killing it?
