Hey all! I've been lurking around to find a way to translate either or both Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2. Has anyone found a way and would be willing to share their secrets? (I've been translating videogames for 14 years now, and had my fair share of "complex" translations, but in this case ...

Since the Dungeon Editor Beta is out, is it possible to translate the texts of the original game now?

Or I've got a better idea. Just add the newly created translations to the installers, GOG and Steam, BAM, everyone's happy. Well, we're halfway throught the translation, but if AH gives us the stop, then we can't upload it anywhere. Every game benefits from native translation out there, since there are always people, who don't know English (or other languages), but would buy the game.

Since I've been working for the last three days I assume the patch came out. However I've been logged into Steam for 2 hours now, and somehow the 1.1.4 patch won't download. Restarted Steam a few times, played the game, but nothing. Should I delete the local cache and re-download the game?

So after I read the terms, we cannot make a fan translation legally? The translation is our work, but the lua files are AH's.

You only get a DRM-free installer, if you buy it on grimrock.net, or if you buy it on gog.com, but then you don't get a Steam key.
