Re: Diablo 3

I had this feeling already with Diablo 1 . --- Even the original Warcraft (a Dune II -clone) was boring. And also Dune II (' Command & Conquer '-predecessor) was actual boring - piffling 'Real-Time'-Strategy Games. ('click&swarm'-tactics instead of 'real tactics', that you actually had to th...

Re: Torchlight Crawlers

...But what if there's a new game called 'dungeon crawler'? ... There already is [an 'old'] one. 'Dungeon Crawl' is a one of the main "rogue-likes" (ASCII or tiles -> = 2d 'overhead' + an overhead pseudo 3d-'iso'-tile-style for a mod). It's now called ' Linley's Dungeon Crawl ' (or ' Dung...

BlueSpace wrote:[... I'm more familiar with the Bard's tale series and that is the reason why I started there. Wizardry is older of course.
If you are interested in old stuff, I would always recommend Wizardry Games over Bard's Tale games. Best new ones are the Drakensang-Games.

And also Wizardry was just a rip-off from the PLATO-system dungeon crawls like Oubliette - Wizardry I is 'just' designed for 'home computers'. http://blogensursis.free.fr/img/saga_oubliette.png Oubliette (1979) -> http://translate.google.de/translate?sl=fr&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=de&am...

Re: Compass improvement

To know the exact geographical direction (north, south, east, west...or NE, SW, NW...what ever you like on a virtual 360° circle) pointed by the game compass needle is redundant. (it does not show it for 'real' anyway) All what is essential to know is, that it points ALWAYS in the SAME 'in-game'-dir...

Re: 2x2 strafing undermines character building [edited]

I see it as BlueSpace, just want to add that Bard's Tale is just a 'rip-off' from the early Wizardry-games (I-III,V) - with nice graphics of course. Kind of like Eye of the Beholder is just a Dungeon Master 'AD&D rip-off' with nice graphics...

If you want to be 'determined to be stupid', you could also just saw off your hands with this before playing:

Re: RE: I've had it with this game

I expected to spent days with this one, but solved it at the third real try. (Was actually disappointed how 'easy' it was).
