Re: Dungeon Editor Progress
What's the down-side for a left-click menu that only pop's up when the user calls for it? What I'm talking about is getting instant feedback on tile contents, "mouse over" as hannamarin says. It would be tedious and time-consuming to left/right click every tile that you wanted to check co...

Re: Dungeon Ideas, Anyone?
Almost Human probably has plans for them, and there's not enough information currently available to do any good fanfiction about them. Since you don't have more than just the name, you might as well think of your own name, and not have your entire dungeon corrected by canon lore at a later time. Po...

Re: Dungeon Editor Progress
How to select single entity if a square contains multiple entities? How about making it so a dropdown menu shows whenever you click on a square that has more than one entity? Or even better, so you don't have to hold buttons / right click, just have a permanent "Entity type" box somewhere...

Re: [SPOILERS] Why I am not buying this game
I certainly liked that puzzle. And seriously, 3 of the 4 items were literally within 20 seconds walk away! And the fourth, up to the previous level, sitting in plain sight by the stairs down (1 min walk there and back, tops). And OP, sticking it to "the man" is so last century. Well, you p...

Re: RE: I've had it with this game
Yeah, that's why it's called Mage's Challenge, heh. Given that the gargoyle shoots a fireball at you, I figured one in return might work. It did. The fire sword is for parties that don't have a mage in them. I thought the fireball has to be a certain level. Level 13 in Fire, which is the minimum re...

WinUAE uses virtual floppy disk drives. You assign each ADF to a disk drive, it's as simple as that.Zilched wrote:I have not owned a floppy drive since Bill Clinton was President... good info though.

Re: Some puzzles are **** like The Pillared Hallway !
Figuring out where to start should be obvious. If you note the position of the invisible teleport down the hallway, then you count back the number of steps you're expected to take according to the scroll, and it is obvious which the intended starting point should be. Assuming it's not already obviou...

Re: any chance of a random dungeon generator in the future?
Guys, there is a random dungeon generator coming. It's called the dungeon editor, the devs are working on it right now. It will produce heaps of varied dungeons ranging from awesome to terrible, and we'll be playing Grimrock for years to come.

Re: Uninstalled It
Having completed the game and found most secrets, I can tell you it's perfectly playable without needing fast reactions. Not a single critical puzzle in the game requires you to play it like an arcade game. The most difficult thing you do is plan several moves ahead and then execute them rhythmicall...
