Re: The game has a manual!

Man I feel sorry for the guy that made it.
It's a pretty good manual like those they made "back in the day", it also has some really useful information (like what the runes represent).

Re: On Weapon and Class balance

Dexterity also gives evasion and accuracy. Whereas strength only adds damage (and carry weight which hardly matters in combat). Strength is still better though, since evasion isn't all that great, and accuracy can be compensated with one or two skillpoints (which the fighter classes can usually spar...

Re: Island master fight is a huge disappointment (spoilers)

I really enjoyed the fight with the dragon (or lindworm rather, whatever that is), as it was a truly large monster that occupied more than one square, it was also a pretty epic location. I would have like to fight him more though, instead of the monster rush (the final wave was pretty cool though). ...

Re: Issue with levelling System

There is some scaling it seems, but its done pretty well. Otherwise certain monsters would be way too easy late game, or way too hard early game.

Re: who else refuses to use a weapon's limited charges ?

I often forget I have them, either because they're too valueable to "waste" and they're not really part of my tactics, or they're useless. I really think the less powerful ones shouldn't have finite use. Take the Shaman Staff for example, a pretty decent mage staff that can cast poison bol...

Re: Doesnt the Human Race feel lackluster?

Heres the problem I have with humans. Their innate 10% xp bonus and unique trait for another 10% is pointless compared to the Skilled trait. Why would you want an experience bonus if you can choose to essentially start at level 2 sans the health and willpower increase? In practice, the experience bo...

Re: Climbing down stairs

It would be nice to have an option to initiate a climb down animation.

Maybe we'll see this when its actually necessary on long stairs where falling down them would hurt you.

But with the stairs in this game being always short it seems to make more sense to just hop down.

Re: Doesnt the Human Race feel lackluster?

Here's an idea:
Let humans pick 3 traits at character creation. And possibly remove their default 10% exp bonus to balance it.
This would make humans more versatile and adaptable as is their role.

I also like the idea of replacing their exp bonus with the +1 skill point.

Re: Do you ever find another shovel?

Often when I lost stuff I found I had actually pressed II on the character icon. Indeed, some people might not realize that. I never use the second weapon set for people, so I always put the Compass, shovel, and other useful stuff into the second weapon set of people. So if I do end up needing it, ...

Re: Some balance suggestions

Agreed with your suggestions for the traits that need fixing. Not sure about every solution, in the end the developers should have the best idea on what is balanced. Ratlings having poison immunity makes a lot of sense. I personally don't like rage. My suggested solution is to double or triple attac...
