Re: The "Walking Dead" Party

I would also like to point out that you are also a god. While you stand in one place, time stands still with it. Only when you rest to heal, and when you walk, does time actually move forward. Try it when you are outside during Sunset or Sunrise. When you stop, nothing happens, but as soon as you m...

Re: Some wishes for the future

4. SPELLS A lot more spells are needed to make casters fun. Walls, runes, teleport to runes, stuns, confusion, holds, levitate into pits, summons, illusions, mind control, disintegrate, petrify, buff, breathe under water... and less forced skill combinations like Fire/Air or Ice/Air are now. Elemen...

Re: Island master fight is a huge disappointment (spoilers)

In conclusion: yes, you're not old-school enough to harken back to the old days from which this game was drawn. Yeee, right - playing DC since early 90' is not old-school. Welcome in the own thufir Matrix. Whatever you say, man... /I have no time to this empty chit-chat, so logout. Just the facts, ...

Re: Island master fight is a huge disappointment (spoilers)

although the internet makes it very hard to duplicate the difficulty of old-school games (if you get stuck on a puzzle, you just look it up; couldn't do that back in the day). I say that there is no excuse not to make the game more complicated and hard then. Because if it's too much for the casual ...

Re: Island master fight is a huge disappointment (spoilers)

These complaints always amuse me because they betray a lack of knowledge about what dungeon crawlers and RPGs originated as. Grimrock and Grimrock 2 are both old-school dungeon crawlers in the finest and most accurate sense. Indeed, the least old-school thing about it is the real-time addition with...

Re: So what party are you running? Post about your party

The party I just finished the hard/ironman/singleusecrystal game with was: Human Knight Minotaur Barbarian Human Alchemist Human Battlemage By the end game, knight wielded meteor hammer and crystal shield, barbarian had Bane and meteor shield, alchemist had either repeater and pellets or hand cannon...

Re: Island master fight is a huge disappointment (spoilers)

that's until he pushes you into a spike pit. it doesn't even have to be a pit - he can just push you away, which also stuns you temporarily, leaving you open to the attack of the clones (tm), letting him to restore the shield.. basically, if he pushes you, you are mostly screwed. you can obviously ...

Re: Island master fight is a huge disappointment (spoilers)

Have to say I don't have the faintest idea what the OP was talking about. I thought this fight was great fun and a fine ending to the game. I was really expecting to be disappointed because OP was so adamant about how it ruined the entire game for him but I am really left scratching my head about it...

Re: Hey guys - Party advice

Cool thanks. I’ve read up about the alchemist and the only thing it seems to offer to me is extra ingredients, which is nice no doubt, but I tend to be stingy with my healing potions preferring to savescum as you say instead of just freely using potions. However, do you need a rogue in the party to...

Re: Hey guys - Party advice

Depending on the difficulty level of your game you may regret not having an alchemist. If you are playing on normal or even hard with no additional modifiers you should probably be fine, but if you are trying it with one or both of the ironman or single-use-crystal options it would be best to have o...
