There is a secret button in the "follow the leader" puzzle, on the middle pillar connected by 2 bridges.

I agree with Isaac, a Dark Souls like system where it saves when you quit in ironman would be much preferred. The point of ironman / save crystals only once is that you can't save-scum and have only one save, not that you aren't allowed to have a live outside of the game anymore. In normal ironmode ...

Since people use these threads for bug reports: When you cast the meteor spell on a monster that attacks you, some of the hits seem to hit yourself. At least with the spiders in crystal mines, I guess they occupy the square of the player while they are in their attack animation? Not sure if this is ...

Pretty sure enemies (at least some enemies) respawn after one in-game day has passed. Only in outside areas though.

As far as where to go next:

Once you reach the river, the game opens up a bit, but in terms of difficulty the bog is the next area after that I'd say.

It raises your level by 1. Doesn't give a skill point, but all other benefits like the rogue crit chance per level.

The fallen spirits refer to the broken talking heads. In the area only accessible by teleporter there are 4 of them close by, dig in the middle of them.

If you play on ironman, I'd suggest an alchemist so you get infinite potions, since you will need to heal wounds and other status effects.

Is there a special food for each race?

I already knew about giving cheese to Ratlings, but after feeding my Insectoid Mage 2 of the spiky fruits she gained + Willpower.

Maybe there is a stat-growing food for each of the races?
