Any point in not taking swords?
I chose axes with my fighter, starting to think that was a mistake. I'm on floor 8 and have picked up 3 amazing swords so far, but still can't find anything more than a basic battle axe.

Re: Evasion vs protection?
Evasion > Protection by far... From what I can tell protection is near useless for absorbing melee damage.

Re: Is armor/protection near useless?
I can safely say protection does absolutly nothing unless the character in slot 2 of the front row takes less damage... My rogue with 12 protection takes less damage in melee combat when hits land then my fighter with 32 protection.

Re: First review out out from GI: mixed but overall positive
His main issue though made sense. He stated that at first he enjoyed the combat but in the later levels it became unbalanced to where monsters could slaughter your front lines so effortlessly that often you had to exploit poor AI or kite foes around pillars to overcome them. First review out out from GI: mixed but overall positive.
7.25 http://www.gameinformer.com/games/legend_of_grimrock/b/pc/archive/2012/04/04/review.aspx Legend of Grimrock resonates with powerful nostalgic vibes for gamers of my generation, and I don’t regret my time with it one bit. Its lazy monster design encourages the worst kind of tedious, mechanically...
