Stay cool. Depends on what you use to compare the combat mechanics too. And there were non-grid-based RPGs out (like gothic3) who had absolutely stupid combat. Even in games like Oblivion or Skyrim you can climb up cliffs and stuff and shoot monsters down with ease. Just look at the gameplay videos ...

Actually you can get quite alot of Information about Charakter genertion when u pause the vids whioch are already out at the right seconds and read the box. Every race has a certain advantages and disadvantages..hmm i dont wanna spoil so i wont tell anything, but if you really want, you could make u...

For me defenetly DM2.
It had a great atmossphere with the rain and the big dungeon you had to work for to get in. (collecting the 4 keys).
It had traders, monsters with very different skills and behavior, and epic riddles. I actually liked it more than DM1

Hmm, in the preorder Trailer the last monster looks VERY special and VERY frightening to me...

not the uggardian throwing the final fireball but the dark thing before it.

The question is, if certain races are better in certain classes...

rogue/ Mage

seems most intersting to me, but tbh its impossible to make the party without deeper knowledge of the skills, traits and races...so i guess we have to wait.
