Can we at least have a setting for non-permadeath? As there are plenty of folks that cannot stand re-starting over and over again after losing their hard-earned character!... Otherwise, it's an insta-buy from me, especially if it's on gog!

You mean the editor? Did you had a look at file/preferences? You can change the key-commands. To duplicate an object just use ctrl-c and ctrl-v...
