Re: 10 reasons you should play Wizardry 8 after Grimrock:

Seriously, it's my favorite PC game last decade. I spent every waking hour 4 months of my life from beating it twice. Sleep went out the window. I got bored of Skyrim in december, just one month; played 160 hours. It only took me a staggering 220+150 hours beating Wizardry 8 twice ^_^ 1. Retro dung...

Re: CPU a bit too slow to pass timed puzzle in old tunnels

Well this ain't Modern Warfare 3... I figured I could play it. And I can, until I hit a timed puzzle. Acer Travelmate 6292 That may be the case, but laptops are not designed for gaming and/or rendering 3D. So unless you have a gaming laptop any 3D game made in the last few years is seriously going ...

Re: CPU a bit too slow to pass timed puzzle in old tunnels

Yah tried that. Hit the button while backbedaling. It's definitely a framerate limitation. I hate to think how many other puzzles I won't be able to do... What are your specs? Playing any modern game on a laptop seems a bit silly to me. They are seriously limited when it come to gaming (unless its ...

Re: 1.1.4 Patch Progress

Why do I need to delete this file? Any idea? Some incompatibility or something? (I mean it's in the released installation) This is GOG fault. They are very poor developer (CD Projekt), good known in Poland from lowest support quality and numerous bugs in their products. Now you're just lying. CDP d...

Re: Key Buffering problem with timed puzzles

I like the idea of an extra option at the start of the game to set the timer for timed puzzles/how long pits stay shut to slightly higher. For those saying that this would make the game easier/ruin it/change it unacceptably, I assume you all noticed the 'Easy/Normal/Hard' setting for monster tought...

Re: Been told the game is not for you? Please read this.

Great post OP.

I agree that a lot of the complaints are from people with expectations that were not in tune with what the game presented.

As for speed slider I disagree but I do like how you phrased the suggestion. If I could +rep you I would.

Re: Brilliant game... but. A letter to AH and complainers.

<snip> There is always a shift in focus when you try to appeal to those outside of the core or niche market. AH have said that they weren't aiming for any specific market, niche or otherwise. Inevitably the playerbase (certainly at the start) will end up being those of us that played these games to...

And I send you commant right back at you Cryo: "We're just telling you what we think of your feedback. If you have the right to express your opinions so do we." Why would you post this? I have stated numerous times that everyone should be free to express their opinion as long as its polit...

Re: Brilliant game... but. A letter to AH and complainers.

There is an aspect here that hasnt yet been fully raised, but I think it valid and important. *disclaimer* This may come across as elitist or arrogant, but I dont see it that way I see it as preservationist if nothing else. It also suggests a causality which can be argued against all I can say to co...

Re: Brilliant game... but. A letter to AH and complainers.

I readily realize that some people are physically or mentally incapable of succeeding in this game. There should be options for those people. Why? There is always going to be something that precludes someone using or enjoying a product. Saying that something needs to have options to mitigate this i...
