Oh, I bought the stand-alone and not the Steam version. That means I can not play the mods, if they are available only on Steam ...?

how can I download mods for "Legend of Grimrock" from "Steam"? I signed up and have subscribed to the 4 mods that interest me. The Steam Software I have installed because I thought that I can use it to download my subscription. Unfortunately it did not work. What is the solution?
