You don't have to copy anything, the "normal" and the Steam version uses the same folder to store the saves and the config file.

Edit the grimrock.cfg file with Notepad, and change the resolution line (e.g: resolution = "1920 x 1200") to your preferred resolution. The file resides in the C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock folder.

Turn VSYNC on to limit the FPS. Maybe his graphics card is overheating.

Then check this thread: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=482. They talk about the same issue, and some workaround to play in borderless windowed mode.

Update your graphics drivers to the latest version. I have the same card and the game works perfectly with the latest (12.3) Catalyst. You find them here: http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

I don't like games where the hard difficulity just makes the monsters hit stronger and your party hit weaker. I am wondering if Grimrock will be different. Maybe the puzzles will be harder, monsters smarter, etc. not just the lazy solution: if (difficulity == hard) { monsterdamage = monsterdamage*2;...
