Just my opinion, but as much as I like the rune system myself and wouldn't like it to see it go, the mage is underpowered in LoG compared to all other classes because of the fact that you need too much time to use something that isn't fireburst or shock (and shock is better because the rune is near ...

I didn't check other spells. If somebody is still interested in this, I ran some test adding points through the console and repeatedly casting Fireburst on a group of 4 armored undead, with fire skill of 4, 23,24 and 50, 20 tests for each. Welcome and thanks for your offer. Thanks, I don't have really experience, just a bit with Wings3D but just for fun.
