Re: Something in the true ending (spoilers, duh ;) )
The mountain sketch is there to indicate a link between Grimrock and the Isle of Nex. The nature of that link is all speculation at this point, but the sketch also gives you everything you need to create a key in order to translate the following page to find a secret that further illustrates the lin...

Re: Feel like I got the rug pulled out from under me :(
Actually, I didn't recall you having said anything about the souls games in your opening post and I somehow didn't look that far back in the thread when I thought I had. My post was specifically addressing 2_hype's apparently laughing at your having found the last boss to be difficult. I didn't feel...

Re: Feel like I got the rug pulled out from under me :(
Nothing too hard about the boss. If you've beaten the souls games you should know how to change strategy by now. Wow, really? Comparing this with the souls games? I don't see any posts here claiming someone beat the souls games and having issues with the difficulty of this game, so bringing t...

Re: Monster Library
Not all the monsters are listed in the manual and I don't think the single paragraph provided for the monsters that are listed is as much as those who would want a library would be looking for. At the very least the Zarchtons have a lot more information about them already written up if you translate...

Re: Feature request for Hard difficulty
The problem with not resting after combat is that you don't always know when the next fight is going to be so you have no guarantee that you aren't going to get yourself into a battle unprepared if you rely on time to restore you. There are plenty of puzzles that once you solve it you get hit with c...

Re: Feature request for Hard difficulty
I don't see how you can make the food mechanic meaningful for replays without making first plays virtually impossible, since Grimrock includes puzzles and requires heavy backtracking if you miss something. I assumed this change would include removing the regenerating food sources. Since, you know, ...

Re: Feature request for Hard difficulty
I also would like to see the removal of the "run back always to the crystals for free and easy healing" mechanic at least in hard. Either, 1x time resurrection/healing per crystal or extremely long recharge times for the crystals. This is already in the game, you just have to turn on the ...

Re: Feature request for Hard difficulty
For the sake of those who don't enjoy the food mechanic in the game I'd suggest that a feature such as this not be included as part of the difficulty setting but instead as a checkbox option that can be applied to any difficulty.

Re: Lack of news
So you want my poor little minotaur to go hungry while surrounded by food that he can't eat because of the removal of the food mechanic that you are trying to make happen with subliminal programming? You are evil. Good job.

Re: Lack of news
Azel, you and your food... that keeps cropping up like you're trying to wage some subliminal anti-food campaign. If all the food goes away then my poor minotaur will wither away into a decrepit husk of skin and bone and be unable to die of his unending hunger because of the lack of starvation mechan...
