Re: Scripting - user keyboard input

OK I have worked out the bare essentials for this. I'm on my way now, I can just record keyUps and keyDowns. Piece of cake :D onDrawGui = function(self, context) print(context.keyDown("shift")) end Can anyone confirm if its possible to enforce game modes like "Ironman" and "...

Re: Scripting - user keyboard input

Thanks for the reply minmay. I saw the GraphicsContext in the scripting reference and assumed it was just for handling GUI. I'll be sure to try it. How do I access the GraphicsContext in script? Is there an example of its usage anywhere? Is there a list of valid keys/ids on this forum that can be pa...

Scripting - user keyboard input

Hello. It's been a long time since I've done any Grimrock modding and I was hoping someone could help me with a few things I can't find an answer for (although I fear the answer is going to be, "no I can't!") Is there a way to handle custom user input (i.e. keyboard commands)? Example usag...

Re: EDITING CHALLENGE II: Updated 12/11/12 post mortum

Hey Haunter, My steam is http://steamcommunity.com/id/BeNNyBiLL/ . Don't feel as though you have to give me anything, I only used the competition as an inspiration to create something and to learn the tools for perhaps a bigger project in the future. It was a fun an interesting thing to approach, ev...

Warden Workshop - Now on steam workshop and nexus

Just moving this over from the EDITING CHALLENGE II thread ( http://www.grimrock.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3665 ). Warden Workshop is now available to play on the Steam Workshop and Nexus. This is a little different from your standard dungeon, its non combat puzzle based using elemental spe...

Re: [CLOSED] Call to modders/mappers: "One Room" round robin

Thanks Neikun. My room is done now. The next room starts at floor 1, tile [4,6] or nearabouts. Spiderfighter should be in contact with you soon HaunterV. The only new assets I have added are blue/red lights and blue/red skeletons that should not be reused as they are particular to my puzzle. All my ...

Re: EDITING CHALLENGE II: Updated 31/10/12 Voting begins!

Thanks for the comments guys. On Benny's hand, it's more to do with the gameplay wanted by the original concept of this contest. I stuck to what I do best, programming and gameplay. You are unlikely to ever get artistic touches and atmosphere with me, and what started off to be a storyline really ju...

Re: [CLOSED] Call to modders/mappers: "One Room" round robin

I've just started on my part, it was my birthday yesterday, I'm currently full of cold and have a million and one other things to do so I'm gonna keep my room short and simple so I can have it done by tonight or tomorrow at the latest. I'll keep you posted. Wish me luck!
