Re: [WIP] Grimrock Model Tookit
Hey guys, Just went through the 46 pages of the forum, that was intense ! A crapload of awesome stuff is being done here, of course I give my special thanks to John without whom none of this custom assets frenzy would have been possible :) I do have a question though, which may or may not seem dumb...

Re: [WIP] Grimrock Model Tookit
@wolfen (and everyone): I'm going to try to think of a better way to handle model imports so that you can tick a few boxes (and leave them ticked) to import models from a given source. Infact, we could even add a drop-down 'which software are you importing from' and then it could auto-rotate the im...

Re: [WIP] Grimrock Model Tookit
Its on the tabs on the right now isn't it? Next to animation.Skuggasveinn wrote:What happened to the ability to go to scene and choose "load background model" ?
In some cases it was a really nice to have feature.
Will it be making a comeback ?

Re: [WIP] Grimrock Model Tookit
I'm still unable to get a "custom" pressure plate to work. I am only trying to re-use the current animations. Is this still not supported in GMT or do I need to keep experimenting to get it to work eventually? It's perfectly possible, though the pressure plate behaves weirdly. But basical...

Re: [WIP] Grimrock Model Tookit
@Wolfen: Erm, a 'node' in a model is kind of a part of the model tree. In reality, the nodes that make up a model are generally either a way of representing where a bone is or where a mesh should be drawn (in relation to the (0,0,0) point in the mesh model space) for a static mesh. During animation...

Re: [WIP] Grimrock Model Tookit
Ok, then I am not sure I guess what a "node" is. Is this the same as just a single bone?
Thanks for the detailed answer. It does help a lot (especially once I know what a node is haha)

Re: [WIP] Grimrock Model Tookit
Can we use animations that already exist for levers and buttons and such? And on that topic, does the tool now display those animations? Sorry if this is a repeat question, been a while since I looked here and its like double the pages now since I last visited. =) Also, I assume I would have to add ...

Simple animation how-to?
Is it possible some one would be willing to write up a simple animation how-to using the awesome grimrock model toolkit? I mean, as simple as a pressure plate? Or even re-using a pressure plate animation with a entirely new model?
Cheers

Re: Translucent and fullbright.
Yeah, I was afraid of that hehe. I tried the additive. It can kind of do what I want I think if I spend a lot of time tweaking the textures / alphas.... maybe hehe.
Thanks for the input. =)
