Re: New monster proposals
For me, and lot others probably, beholders are the nastiest monster ever encountered in a game. I still remember my first encounter, in the eye of the beholder 2 (I played first this and then relazied that it was the second part), back in 1990. The first reaction, upon meeting them, at the famous be...

Regarding the new GUI...
Hi Petri, One comment regarding the new GUI. Given that there may be specific modifiers (increasing or decreasing stats) in certain weapons, armors, rings, etc, that change the statistics of those equipping them, It would be nice if the provided tab, has some color indication (for example chnage the...

Re: about LoG 2 intended secondary attacks (see AH blog too)
I had an idea for missile weapons just now. What if instead of an arrow in one hand and the weapon in the other, you select what ammo you want loaded on the missile weapon and they take up one hand slot instead. (Or perhaps this feature is only available if you have a quiver item?) Example. In your...

Re: about LoG 2 intended secondary attacks (see AH blog too)
Petri, we have faith. My only concern was what I previously posted about not being able to do anything else while "charging" an attack. However it is true that one should first see it practice to see it how it works. Some additional questions regarding the special attacks: 1) When the atta...

Re: about LoG 2 intended secondary attacks (see AH blog too)
Well, I had to agree with Dr.Disaster. The way you plan to implement special attacks will ruin gameplay, because, you simply cannot attack with other party members while you "charge" the special attack. Yet Grimrock is a party-based rpg, or is it not? The thing here is that "charging&...

Re: DarkDale: Betrayal
(and I LOVE the bat!) Thanks! It's my first ever attempt at modelling a creature, and I'm quite proud of how it turned out. :D Now I need to learn how to animate it... Hi Georges, Is it true that you are a music professor and that you are doing this on your free time, along with a friend of yours? ...

Re: Master Assassin, didn't work
I read that Master Assassin is supposed to instantly kill with back stabs. I tried it on an ice lizard , didn't kill it. I was using a sword. So, how exactly does it work? Does it instakill just some enemies? Does it need a specific weapon type? It works perfectly, if you succeed a backstab hit. I ...

Re: DarkDale: Betrayal
Well, Might & Magic X, Deathfire... seems the time is up for announcing oldschool RPGs around here. ;) Let's add my voice to the lot: http://www.darkdale.net/. Seems quite promising. If it would be quite as good as Grimrock regarding gameplay and you manage to enhance the story with npcs and an...

Re: Might and Magic 10
From another gameplay video it's actually pretty obvious they're doing a completely tile-based approach to movement, like in Grimrock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4IxhUtZlgY Don't really mind this, either. The game looks quite beautiful, too. Might & Magic I up to V, which for me where the ...
