I'm also stuck in the snail room with the plates.

First, find the secret button
then find the light
then your back to the light, throw your weapon.

Can't find out what this means. Found two buttons (one regular, one secret) and the field with the light (the center one). What now?

Alright, managed to go on, but had to watch the Youtube walkthrough. I'd never figured out where to use the water crystals. A hint somewhere would have been useful.
