As you fight the boss, the other mobs drop the keys (randomly, I think) when you kill them.

After you finish level 6, at some point the door will open up again. I'm not completely sure what opens it though...

I don't know if it's the grey backround or what, those feel like they would fit in with the style of the original portraits very well. I'll give them a try!

But is there a specific order you need to step on them? or just in circles over and over? I kept going one way, then another, then through the middle and at one point stuff happened, but I never really understood what I did right lol I just kept walking clock wise around the outer edge. I actually like it . I don't mind it not being super 3D shiny and animated (I'm sure that wasn't exactly what you meant), but maybe that's just me. If some improvement was made I wouldn't mind either, of course...
