Re: Is LoG a shameless copy of a classic?
its like saying that all MMORPGS are copies of World of Warcraft just cuz they are MMOs in fantasy settings More like shameless ultima online copies :P And UO was a Meridian 59 copy, which was a Neverwinter Nights copy (old 4-bit color game on AOL). NWN was 1991 and went from 75 to 500 max players ...

Re: Why Not Bring a Mage?
putting Light or Heavy Armor on someone who isn't skilled enough to wear it without penalties is like removing the wheels from a bicycle to make it go faster by making it lighter... likewise, claiming Fighters are limited because they don't have Reach is like saying birds are limited because they'r...

Re: Why Not Bring a Mage?
I was able to get through my whole party in under a second. With this most of the time I could attack with my full party and then step away and not get hit. I did a similar thing, but with 3 melee and when I stepped back I had the ranged casting of the mage to attack with at a distance. It's really...

Re: Some puzzles are **** like The Pillared Hallway !
Wow. That's immensely stupid. You're not slithering at all. You're moving forward. The note is actually very misleading. It should read 2 times foreward, right once, foreward once, left once, foreward this many times. I have that note and I was expecting it to be some kind of pattern of some kind o...

When you've pumped the skill high enough, they go off nearly every attack.

Re: Why Not Bring a Mage?
I went with a human mage and gave him the "tough" trait so that he was a bit more survivable. I didn't really have any trouble with him dying except... In The Fighter's Challenge, where you're quickly surrounded by a room full of monsters, both of my back row guys went down quick. I got a ...

Re: About walls.
I am pretty sure bad guys do that to save money. Fail to take over the world ONE time and your credit score never recovers. But at least you have to have your own chambers decked out in style.

Re: Iron Door level 7 HELP - Cant open door due to hardware
I'm trying to complete all the secrets. I am pretty sure that giving your save file to someone else to do it for you is not really being a "completionist." Whatever the reason you can't do it, you actually doing it is the point. Lots of other people have done it, so if that counts then yo...

Re: Why Not Bring a Mage?
In terms of raw damage you might have been better with an archer but that's just min/maxing talk. I played with a fire mage and an air mage and felt like they were very powerful. Probably not, given that in the end, ice bolts froze things long enough for my rogue to get in at least 2 backstabs whil...

Why Not Bring a Mage?
I see a lot of topics discussing how worthless a mage is and how you're better off without one. I felt like I had the opposite experience, and I am wondering what was different about how I used my mage. 1) What element did you choose primarily? 2) How far and when did you take Spellcrafting? 3) Did ...
