Re: Old Games
Well, following what you have done and where have you been used to be easier because, at least in my place, DM was a sort of "multiplayer" game - not everyone used to have a computer those days so usually several person met and play together. For example my two best friends usually visite...

Re: Run using WINE?
BlackSanguine: Try to find something about LoG on winehq.org. It should be neccessary to install some dlls through winetricks. Also try to delete D3DX9_43.dll from main install directory - this worked for me. Your error seems to be that you don't have DirectX9 or something. This should be solved by ...

Re: I will buy a copy when the Linux version comes out.
I have Ubuntu Studio 11.10 and Wine 1.4. Compatibility test didn't worked for me. Unpatched version worked out of the box. Patched version 1.1.14 worked after deleting D3DX9_43.dll from the game install directory. I have had already installed some common dlls through winetricks such as: d3_dx9, dire...

Re: Run using WINE?
The unpatched version worked for me without any problems. When I installed the 1.1.4 patch version it just didn't start. All I needed to do was to delete D3DX9_43.dll file in game install directory. It works so far.

That's a pity. I think I'll stick to Normal then .

How exactly does difficulty work?
I'd like to ask what is the exact impact of difficulty. Does it only modify the difficulty of combat? It would be logical if it modified for example food and torch decay but I read no mention about it.

Re: Shadows FPS impact
It looks like the dynamic shadows are the problem. When I'm on low (which leaves only static shadows) the performance is fine while there is not much difference between high and medium. So I'm forced to play on everything maxed and low shadows. This is silly.
