There is a pressure plate THROUGH the gate. Looks like a neat place for a stone The other way is pure timing. Put something onto the plate at the teleporter (the first pit closes (i used one ogre hammer) and wait till the time is "right".

Did i miss the point, where runic stones where introduced?? Looking for levers, buttons and hidden torch tricks is OK, but... well...
