Re: Please provide a demo in the future.
The trailer should have been more than enough to convince you. Morally what you did was wrong even if it all worked out dandy in the end. The deep, deep question is, does that make what you did still bad? I would say yes. If you shoplifted a product, even if it cost nothing to make and stock, and t...

Re: Please provide a demo in the future.
It was someone else who learned about it on a torrent site, there was a pretty decent thread every month or so a while back on the vidya. And to people taking morals into this, are you joking? I don't feel I have done anything wrong, it's no different than trying the game at a friends house, and in ...

Re: Please provide a demo in the future.
I have been there too, but when I was in that chapter of my life playing a computer game was not on my list of priorities. I am by no means trying to insult you, I am just saying that when people are struggling to pay the bills, getting their hands on a game should be the least of their worries. I ...

Wow, thanks for the advice, I was getting worried for a bit there.lFlapjackl wrote:You all just need to enable vertical sync~to triple buffer. This doesn't slow the game down, it caps your frames at your refresh rate.Thorgrey wrote:Second, my GPU jumps 30 degrees playing this game.

Re: Please provide a demo in the future.
If someone buys the game and then copies it (This is how piracy works.), then gives it to other people and they give it around some more. THAT IS NOT THEFT. Yes it is. If someone buys the game then gives it around, they have stolen it by replication. The others that accept it have stolen it by not ...

Re: Please provide a demo in the future.
He pirated an indie game, potentially nullifying profits to the developers simply because he couldn't demo the game. It's just as valid (and in this case true) to say he pirated an indie game, increasing the profits to the developers, despite them not bothering with a demo. No it is not. Trying to ...

Re: Please provide a demo in the future.
Define piracy, because it it involves taking a game and then not paying for it, no piracy was done really.FULLMETALJ wrote: "Please, provide a demo so that I don't pirate!"
That kind of behavior is senseless, pirating indie games is wrong, no matter how you look at it.

Re: Please provide a demo in the future.
As a sidenote, I firmly believe that games who lose their value after one playthrough are flawed and should fix exactly that. If one pirated first time playthrough eliminates most of the motivation a player could have for playing your game, you did something wrong as a developer. I agree with all y...
