Re: low quality/slow pc version possible?

From my experience with a low specs Macbook, the teleporters animation seems to eat up quite a lot processing power. Whenever I came near one, the speed dropped. So simplifying animations for torches and teleporters (and probably any other "particle"-animation) might allow for even lower h...

Re: Level Seven Iron Gate

Now this is something my old Macbook is definitely not up to even with lowest graphics settings. Will have to wait for another party whenever I get a newer machine. Not to sound inflammatory, but since when are Macbooks looked at as gaming rigs? They aren't. Never claimed the opposite. Nobody said ...

Re: Are rogues useful?

I wondered the same. Not through the game yet, but I put quite some skill points into long range attack, which doesn't prove very useful up to now.

Spider's last words

Am I the only one to hear them as a squeaked "Excuse me" to the fellow spiders?

Re: Feature Request: intuitive keys for char screens

Well, I mentioned it only, because I _did_ press i all the time to hide the inventory screen. Just because it's no single char RPG doens't mean it wouldn't be a useful addition for some folks.

EDIT: Thanks for pointing 1,2,3,4 out, this helps quite a bit.

Report: runs on 13" Macbook Alu late 2008

I am very happy to be able to report, Grimrock runs fine on a good three year old Macbook 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / 4G Ram / NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB @ 1280 x 800 using Wineskin. Naturally, quality settings are low. It even helped me figure out my fan was dust filled, since performance would drop...

Feature Request: intuitive keys for char screens

Great game, enjoy it a lot!

i = open / close inventory of last opened character
c = open / close character stats screen
m = map

just a proposal, key bindings are configurable

Tell me if it's just an oversight on my side.
