Re: What Game Are You Playing While Waiting For LoG2

after finishing LoG i was looking for older RPGs i hadn't played yet. i found wizardry 8, oh what great fun it is. i love how you can mix all the different classes, improve skills by using them and unlock special skills. i hope the devs of LoG will add a similar system eventually. the graphics are o...

Re: The most powerful group?

i think 4 mages will give you a great start for any battle, but proove to be too cumbersome for the long ones. you can prepare 4 powerful spells and launch them right away. that should kill most weak to mediocre enemies almost instantly. the tough ones will leave you at a disadvantage because there ...

Re: Subclasses/Creative Builds

yup.. right now you probably can't go much higher than lvl 15 unless you keep grinding for xp til your fingers bleed. so, 60 skill points.. thats about it its hard to even raise 1 of them to 50. the next adventure might be in the range of 10-30 lvls thats where class combinations would come in handy...

Re: Min / Max / Mechanics Thread

5) I'm finding str to be not such a great stat. For my front row fighters dex is way way better. It has two tangible effects, dodging and accuracy. While strength only affects damage and encumbrance, and encumbrance can be managed. I'm finding my fighters don't do less damage if I pump dex rather t...

i think it would be great to be able to choose your own list of skills for a custom class:

Re: Evasion vs protection?

its probably not a percentage because i think it can go above 100. the only thing i know is that evasion only protects you against melee attacks missiles and magic cannot be evaded, only dodged by moving your whole party. but evasion seems to be more effective in melee combat than protection. my rog...

Re: Boy this game gets hard quickly

you have to move around... when the spiders pin you down try to concentrate on only one of them so you are mobile again.
if you move sideways after every hit they don't have a chance to hit you. keep circling one while avoiding the other.

Re: Are rogues useful?

a rogue is not 'needed' but in my party the rogue is the best in melee 3 times faster than my fighter, only slightly less damage, but hits more often and gets more critical hits + a triple slash special attack every now and then. has less hp, but almost never gets hit in melee due to his high evasio...
