Re: A day or so in, what is your general impression of the g

P.S. I think I might be one of the few experiencing this but for the love of my sanity please either reduce the % chance to get poisoned or reduce how long it lasts from spiders. I have gone through the first area you find them 4 diffrent times now and only once have I not gotten poisoned on the fi...

but then you could just shove it in the hands of the back-row characters instead of sacrificing a heavy hitter. which hand would it take up? Both? one character would hold the map, and it would appear for everyone? ...and this all does nothing for people who turned off auto-map (like me). I dunno, I...

Re: Boxed Version of the game

I planned on making my own boxed version with a CD-R (SCREW DVDS! :P)

I'd pay someone else to do a nicer job of it than I would, though.

The little green doodads that come out of the walls on level 4, I think they strafe.

I'm not sure though. I cornered them and blew them up in a panic before I saw them do too much.

Then my light spell wore off so I ran around in the dark fumbling like a moron trying to recast it.

Re: How is LoG selling?

I think you may have missed my point. The whole "cup a tea" metaphor(or simile, I keep getting these mixed up) is all about Skyrim may not be your type of game, but it still is a good game. No no, you missed mine, I think! I am a huge TES fan. I liked the first 3 *alot*. I just really did...

Re: A day or so in, what is your general impression of the g

The core gameplay of crawling and fighting is fun for the most part, but it's really hampered by inventory management - especially if you're using the default thief. Managing her thrown and missile weapons is a headache, especially in the heat of battle and having to juggle all of her stuff forces ...

Re: A day or so in, what is your general impression of the g

It's a cool game. Early game combat felt a big sloggish(I now hate spiders, thanks for that), but late game the the combat tended to be pretty enjoyable as more enemies became more varied and the environments started requiring more thought. The puzzles tend to be pretty clever, I liked the differen...

Re: Luring enemy into traps - no xp?

I'd almost guess that these monsters didn't die, and are still wandering around... on the floor below you. Has anyone tested that? You'd basically just drop a monster in a trap and then follow them down. I did this too in one spot. I wasn't surprised by the lack of XP though. I expected it, to be ho...
