Re: A day or so in, what is your general impression of the g
My impressions so far, also from someone who's played too many of these games to count, is that this is great. I gimped my mage from the start but have still pressed onward. Now that I can fling ice shards and firebursts, he is doing good. I'm really digging the creep-factor of the skeletons. Seeing...

Re: How is LoG selling?
I think they are going to make a lot of money however..because I have not heard a single bad review. This game has a very good chance of winning Indie game of the year. Hope so. The only bad review I came across was someones impressions over on GOG , where apparently we've all jumped on a bandwagon...

Re: oldskool
Rather than a C64 version, how about a 256-color VGA version? ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
The VIC-II is kind of an ugly video chip as far as color options go...
Yeah, I said it!

Yeah, that'd be nice.
I am against unlearning skills though.
How exactly does one forget how to be good with a sword,

Neat![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Strange, semi-idiotic visual suggestion
What about a "classic" mode for the visuals?
really pixelated VGA-era looking walls! It would be kind of fun.
Kind of like how The Dark Spire for Nintendo DS had a mode that turned the game into b&w line drawing dungeons like Akalabeth and stuff.

Re: How is LoG selling?
Remember, money is relative. To a student, 30$ can seem like a fortune. Said student should make better financial choices in life. Live at home and work fulltime for two years after high school, saving every penny. Oh look, suddenly you can afford your entire education with living expenses. Life is...

http://memearchive.net/memerial.net/2472/computer-games-1994-2010.jpg ? I loled so hard. That was me trying to beat Xeen and his dickhead pet dragon! I don't see what the point would be to having god-mode for this game. You might as well just go stare at someones maps of the game, or that lets-play...

I dig the timed puzzles. It's a good thing when I am sitting here scratching my head trying to figure stuff out. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: How is LoG selling?
I wouldn't call it an unbalanced mess either. I understand that it may not be your "cup of tea", but that doesn't make it "junk". I was fine with the first 3 ES games, and sorely disappointed in the last two... Oblivion and Skyrim would be my cup of tea just like the other 3, ha...
