after 4 driver wipes, and completely changing all my settings several times, the only way to get the game to run was to actually take everything out of the games control and set all the AA settings etc to their max values independent of application control.

Ugh.

Everytime I try to run LoG, it gets to the gear, waits a few moments, and then the screen flickers slightly and shifts to vertical lines. This is from a clean bootup, and with a cold graphics card.
