But how exactly do you use the blue gems? I have a fallen party member. I have two blue gems. I have touched them, I have dropped them on the guy, I have given them to my mage, he has tried to use them. What???????

I just found a scroll of Fireburst, which my mage already knows. Can I sell the scroll at some point or is it useless? Also, if I find a scroll of something that he doesn't already know do I just carry it around with me, or how does he use it?

But I'm stuck at the second gate in lvl 1! I spent the brass key to open the first locked door (I also tried smashing through the door to save the key (no luck)), and am standing at the loose rock near the locked portculis with no idea what to do...
