Just wanna go ahead and add to this discussion by saying that I think magic in this game is NOT cumbersome. The rune casting system is great.

HOWEVER on a high rez (1920x1080) I am staring at a very small patch of screen to select these runes. There could be a better way. I don't know.

Fixed the script to work with different aspect ratios (eg 1920x1080). Redo the steps 3-6 for the update. Try restarting your steam client, there was an issue but it should be fixed now. At least, mine was fixed. I had to go to the Legend of Grimrock store page manually and click on 'Play Now', though.

Edit: never mind, I figured it out. I think you mixed up the key sets. This is a neat solution but it's not the best because when you press the key, it moves the cursor to the weapon/object being activated. I use the mouse to wheel the view around so this results in me having to move the cursor back...
