Re: graphics look amazing BUT

Uh... I think a lot of people have COMPLETELY missed the point of the thread... lol. If you want a prime, awesome example of this, Wolfenstein 3D, his face looked progressively worse as he was damaged more. STILL A 2D PORTRAIT, it just changed during certain situations. And if you haven't played Wol...

Re: graphics look amazing BUT

Great potential for a mod. Would just require additional portraits for every status effect (Like being low on life, or getting hit).

Re: TGA files for portraits? help???

Why the hell would they make you need TGA files? No one has images stored on their PC as .tga and the fact that you need an entirely different program just to convert the file is retarded. They should have made it compatible with a much more common image format that any standard paint program can u...

Re: Grimrock Mac OS X wrapper by Porting Team

Now that 1.1.4 is out, to update your game just Right Click (On the wrapper) > Show Package Contents > Open Wineskin.app > Install Windows Software.

Then just install 1.1.4 like you did 1.1.3, it'll overwrite everything cleanly and you'll be able to play in no time.

NetHack is a roguelike. Randomization is what gives it replayability.

Re: New monsters and other stuff to put in the custom levels

Nope, this one is exactly the design from dungeon master! And my own work. Wizard eye, no beholder ;) Well then it would be infringing on whoever owns Dungeon Master. :P It is pretty close though, and with how lawsuit happy companies are these days, I wouldn't be surprised if a mod using it may get...

Re: Report: runs on 13" Macbook Alu late 2008

The wrapper from the porting team worked like a charm. Thank you very much for the assistance. BTW, I'm running an early 2011 17" MacBook Pro. The reason it worked is because of an ATI graphics issue that exists above Wine version 1.3.36 or so, so just using a lower version solves the problem....

Re: EXP mod

If you want a hardcore ironman style solo playthrough, then yeah, this mod isn't for you. If you want some extra challenge, without it being Nightmare Mode, I feel this mod fits the grove perfectly. Still only 1/4th the damage of a full party, and 1/4th the health (ish, might be able to pick up lots...

Re: Is there a level cap?

Note the tomes though, for 8 more points in any skill. Of course only for one of your guys, but still... yeah it's pretty bad.

Re: EXP mod

Actually, from playing some with the Ranger solo class, I think this would make the class MORE fun, since you could properly level up your hybrid. Since normally splitting points between even 2 trees is dangerous for your (optimal) survival.

I too support the idea for this mod ^^.
